RAAM Withdrawal

I have had several people complain to me about RAAM Withdrawal.  They were so caught up during the 2 weeks of following RAAM that now they don't know what to do with theirselves.
So I will try to leave a few post RAAM thoughts and recaps on a regular basis.
Before I say anything, I want to recognize and give tribute to my crew.  They are an awesome group.  They all worked together to the goal of taking care of me and getting me to that finish line.  And that is exactly what they did.  There were a total of 9 crew members, 3 crew teams of 3 people each.  Each crew team was comprised of a driver, navigator and domestique.  The crew teams rotated shifts in the follow vehicle, usually pulling anywhere from 5 to 8 hour shifts.
I can never thank them enough for their sacrifice and hard work.

Joni Tooke   Crew Chief     Domestique
Anika Blanco     Domestique
Elaine Lemp    Domestique
Emily Cooper   Driver
Damaris Ortega Ford    Driver
Michael West   Driver
Conice Boenicke   Navigator
Dan Joder    Navigator
Joe Tooke   Navigator
If you ever want to hear what RAAM is really like from a non-racer perspective, just ask any of the above.  They have been in the trenches. I am proud to have gone to battle with each of them.
